Diploma of Travel and Tourism- Learning Blog Entry 1.

Today is the start of my second week of my Diploma of Travel and Tourism Course.
In the morning session we discussed further about our career goals and created a short overview and mind map of internal and external trends that affect the job or section of the Travel industry that we are interested in.

I am not yet sure exactly what role within the travel industry I would like to pursue,  but I have decided that I am interested in the Ecotourism branch of the industry.  I decided to use Posadas Amazonas Ecolodge in Amazon, Peru as an example for the activity as I have been there and have a general idea of what is involved.

In the afternoon session we worked on our personal portfolios where I learnt to create and attach a blog to my portfolio as well as attach photo slide shows to it.

I still need to attend my group minutes meeting.  I am chairing the first meeting which I am looking forward to to try and allocate jobs for projects between myself and the other members of the group.
